Production Research Associate
JOB PURPOSE:
- Assist PR Scientist within the Test and Deploy squad in day-to-day research and testing activities such as data collection, field management, and follow-up on seasonal worker activity.
- Execute Producibility trials across different vegetable crops in alignment with the Production Pipeline specialist and field production teams.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Organize logistics around field trials, manage trials in the field, take accurate notes, harvest, and finalize field trials according to the planned schedule.
- Plan and coordinate activities related to producibility programs in the region, if applicable.
- Recruit, supervise, train, and develop team seasonal personnel.
- Support the Production Research Scientist in results analysis and summarize findings in written and verbal reports (if applicable and for development towards Scientist role).
- Actively contribute to scientific discussions and lead discussions in specific technical areas.
- Ensure proper utilization of research equipment (lab and field) with mobile devices for data collection and note-taking, and train PR Assistants and seasonal workers in their use.
- Actively promote and, where possible, lead best practices and standard operating procedures for all employees.
- Identify, develop, and maintain QMS document needs within job responsibilities, actively ensuring the maintenance and effectiveness of the Quality Management System. Maintain PR QMS updated.
- Understand and comply with all country and company laws and regulations (Environmental Safety and Health, Stewardship, Quality, ISO, etc.).

WHO YOU ARE:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in agriculture or a related field (MSc with 3 years of experience, or BSc with 5-8 years of experience)
- Preferred experience in crop management in the field
- MT Technology Specialist
- Six Sigma Green Belt
- Proficiency in computer applications
- Excellent communication skills with team and stakeholders
- Ability to accept assignments and follow instructions to complete work in a timely manner
- Eligible and willing to often travel independently to local production areas
