Applications are invited from suitable candidates (Indian Citizens) for one position of Junior Research Fellow in a DBT-funded project entitled “Development of new activity-based probes for understanding the role of non-apoptotic cell death pathways” in the Laboratory of Dr. Nagarjun Narayanaswamy at Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology (BRIC-RGCB), Poojappura, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Good academic record with First Class Master’s Degree in Chemistry/ Biochemistry/ Biotechnology.
- The candidate should have qualified National Eligibility Test CSIR/UGC-JRF or DBT-BET Category-I and II/ICMR/DST-Inspire Fellowship.
- Very good experience and in-depth knowledge in Organic chemistry.
AGE
- Below 28 years as of October 20, 2024.
- Age relaxation will be given as per Govt. of India norms.
EMOLUMENT: ₹ 37,000/- + 18% HRA per month.
DURATION: For a period of one year or till the termination of the project (whichever is earlier), extendable based on performance evaluation.
SELECTION PROCESS
- Applications should be submitted online.
- Candidates currently working in Government firms should send applications through the proper channel.
- The last date for receiving completed applications is October 20, 2024.
- If a candidate wishes to apply for different positions, separate applications should be submitted for each position.
- Selection to the position will not entitle the candidate to any future positions at RGCB (permanent or otherwise). As with all project positions at RGCB, the position will be co-terminus with the end of the project.
Applications that are not in the prescribed format will be summarily rejected.
Only those fulfilling the above criteria need apply. Applicants will be shortlisted for the selection interview based on eligibility criteria. Selection of suitable candidates will be made based on qualifications and performance in the selection interview.
