Hiyoshi has had cordial relationship with India for more than 25 years. It is our corporate mission to support the education of future generations and through our internship program we have accepted more than 100 trainees and interns.
In the year 2007 Hiyoshi Corporation Japan, ABK AOTS DOSOKAI Tamil Nadu Centre, Chennai and Hiyoshi India Ecological Services Private Limited, Chennai jointly launched the “Hiyoshi India Internship Program” every year for young students who are studying in Colleges/Universities in India with specialization in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Biotechnology, Environmental Sciences, etc. to give them an opportunity to increase their environmental awareness and knowledge for sustainable development of next generation.
Hiyoshi Corporation provides stipendiary internship for a period of 2 months in Japan. Every year 2 students are selected to receive environmental technical training in Japan. We hope that through the skills acquired at Hiyoshi they would be able to bring back those skills to India and thereby contribute to improve the Indian environment.
Hiyoshi also wishes to expose them to the Japanese working environment and culture and broaden their
experience for their future career.We also hope to have an exchange of technical/business knowledge and language skills. .
We are happy to inform that Hiyoshi International Internship Program 2025 application is now open for Indian students who are studying under graduate or post graduate in colleges, universities and other educational institutes, etc.

Hiyoshi Corporation, located in Shiga, Japan, was inaugurated in 1955 for the collection of domestic and human wastes, water and sewage maintenance, environmental analysis, and research. I. DETAILS AND CONDITIONS:
- 1. Applicant Criteria:
- Educational Background: Undergraduate (UG) students from professional courses such as BE/B.Tech and Postgraduate (PG) students from Arts and Science/Professional courses. (Note: Final-year students are not eligible).
- Discipline/Major: Environmental Sciences, Chemical/Environmental Engineering, Environmental Chemistry/Biochemistry, Food Technology, or equivalent environment-related disciplines are desirable.
- Applicant must have consistently scored 75% or higher throughout.
- No academic arrears should exist.
- Academic credit points must be received as part of the internship from the applicant’s college/university.
- Fluency in English (Reading, Writing, Speaking).
- Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) are mandatory.
- Selected applicants must be able to take a two-month leave from their college/university to intern at Hiyoshi Corporation, Japan.
- 2. Terms & Conditions of Internship:
- i. Scope of Internship: Training on environmental and food sample analysis, along with other analytical tasks.
- ii. Internship Duration: Two months (May 15, 2025, to July 15, 2025).
- iii. Internship Expenses:
- Applicant’s Responsibility:
- Expenses for Japan Visa application, travel, health insurance, and local travel (in India, from the applicant’s residence to the nearest international airport, and in Japan, from Kansai International Airport to Omihachiman City).
- Company’s Responsibility:
- Allowance of 80,000 JPY per month.
- Economy air ticket from the nearest international airport to Kansai International Airport, Japan.
- Training-related expenses (uniform and training materials).
- Applicant’s Responsibility:
- iv. Working Details:
- Working Days & Hours: Monday to Saturday, 08:15-17:15 Hrs (Lunch break 12:15-13:00 Hrs).
- Holidays: All Sundays, national holidays (if any), and two Saturdays per month.
- Training Location: Hiyoshi Corporation, 908 Kitanosho-Cho, Omihachiman, Shiga 523-0806, Japan.
- v. Accommodation:
- Company-provided dormitory room at no cost.
- Dormitory includes a bathtub, shower, toilet, washing machine, bed, kitchen utensils, microwave oven, refrigerator, TV, air conditioner, water heater, and internet.
- Bicycle provided by the company for travel (approximately 5-10 minutes from dormitory to company).
- Interns will have a separate bedroom but may share living space, kitchen, and bathroom with a roommate.
II. INTERNSHIP SCHEDULE DETAILS:
- 30th September, 2024: Opening of online application for Internship. Visit URL (www.hiyoshiindia.com) to apply online and for related details.
- 15th December, 2024: Deadline for submission of online application form and supporting documents.
Note: Application is subject to satisfactory verification of your documents provided for the internship fulfillment. If any information or detail given by you is found incorrect, false, or incomplete, then your application will be liable for rejection without further information. - January, 2025: Preliminary round selection notification call.
Note: Only selected applicants will be notified by email or phone call, and no notification will be sent to non-selected applicants. - March, 2025: Interview call (likely through Skype) and deadline for submitting any additional documents.
- April, 2025: Applying for visa and other formalities.
- 15th May, 2025: Start of Internship.
III. APPLICATION PROCEDURE AND SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS:
Applicants should review the following internship document requirements and submit the needed documents to fulfill the internship application process.
- A) Documents to be submitted for Application Process:
- Submission of online application form
- Write-up (reasons for applying to the internship program)
- Photocopy of valid Passport
- Passport Size Color Photograph (4cm x 3cm)
- Certificate of Enrollment from your educational institution
- Letter of Recommendation from your educational institution
- Photocopy of Academic Transcript/Mark Statements from your educational institution
- Any other documents you wish to submit to support your application
- B) Preliminary Round Selected Applicants:
Selected applicants are requested to submit a detailed report (minimum 20 pages) on environment-related topics as part of the final selection and interview process. Note: The company will provide you with the questionnaire. - C) Documents to be submitted after Selection & Internship Process:
- Medical Examination Certificate confirming you are physically and mentally fit for the internship
- Overseas Health and Travel Insurance covering liability for personal injury, illness, disease, death, and/or damage or loss of belongings during travel or internship
- No Objection Certificate (NOC) from parents, including a commitment to repatriate you to India if needed during your stay in Japan
- Signing the Internship Agreement (company-provided)
- Signing the Confidentiality Agreement (company-provided)
- Credit points certificate from your educational institution (company will provide the certificate format draft)
- Japan visa (company will provide the invitation letter)
- Any other documents if necessary
IV. SUPPORTING DOCUMENT SUBMISSION:

- Documents must be clear and readable; unclear soft copies will result in application rejection without notice
- Document type: PDF format, and photo in JPEG format only
- Do not send hard copies of documents unless requested
