ADVERTISEMENT FOR THE POST OF PROJECT FELLOW
WALK-IN INTERVIEW FOR SELECTION OF PROJECT FELLOW AT TOCKLAI TEA RESEARCH INSTITUTE, JORHAT, ASSAM
Walk-in interview will be conducted for one Project Fellow under the UTZ India Private Ltd-sponsored project “Sustainable Tea Pest Management in Assam: An IPM Taskforce Initiative” under the Department of Entomology at Tocklai Tea Research Institute, Jorhat, Assam. The position is purely on a temporary basis for a period of 10 months only.

One | Essential: M.Sc in Life Sciences/Zoology with specialization in Entomology/Agricultural Entomology with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks from a recognized University.
Desirable: Experience in tea pest management/plant protection will be given preference. |
Rs. 30,000 per month + Rs. 3,000 for local travel expenses. Single accommodation provided by the institution near the experimental plot. | Field layout, treatment imposition, monitoring of field activities, yield record, observation and recording of physiological data, collection of soil and leaf samples, data compilation of field and laboratory observations, report preparation, etc. |
Place of Work: Tocklai Tea Research Institute, Jorhat (Assam) / Dikom (TRA Advisory Centre). The selected candidate has to stay at the selected work station.

General Instructions:
- The above post is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project.
- Walk-in interview will be conducted for selection of the candidates on 30.10.2024.
- Candidates should submit a soft copy of the duly filled application form along with their Curriculum Vitae (CV) and original documents (testimonials of qualifications, mark sheets, experience, date of birth, etc.).
- No TA/DA or any other expenses will be provided for attending the interview.
- All other terms and conditions of the appointment will be governed by prevailing Institute rules, and the decision of the Selection Committee will be final and binding.
- The selected candidate needs to join immediately or at very short notice.
- The Director, Tocklai Tea Research Institute, Jorhat, Assam reserves the right to select or reject a candidature, including cancellation of the interview without assigning any reason.
