Job Purpose
The candidate will be a part of the antibody development team, working on generating tool-grade antibodies by hybridoma approach. He or she will be in a fast-paced work environment that offers a great opportunity to learn and grow.
Key Responsibilities:
- Immunization of mice and rabbits.
- Generation of antibodies by hybridoma technology.
- Screening of clones and antibodies using techniques like flow cytometry, ELISA, western blotting, and Octet.
- Small-scale upstream batches to check for titer determination.
- Experiment design and planning, conducting experiments, analyzing, and communicating results.
- Documentation of data and inventory maintenance.
- Follow environment, health, and safety (EHS) requirements at all times in the workplace, ensuring individual and lab/plant safety.
Educational Qualification:
- M.Sc Biotechnology or Biochemistry
Technical/Functional Skills:
- Experience with handling rodents and rabbits is a must.
- Experience with antibody generation by hybridoma technology.
- Experience with handling cell lines, cell bank preparation, and inventory maintenance.
- Experience with fundamental molecular biology techniques and flow cytometry.
- Excellent attention to detail, diligent documentation, and efficient communication skills.
Experience:
- 0-3 years post qualification
Behavioral Skills:
- Should be well-versed in verbal and written communication and be a team player.
- Should be focused on results and deliverables.
- Should have a high moral framework (ethics code) and a strong sense of data integrity.
