Overview

Main Purpose:

• Ensuring that the raw material and packaging material is checked as per the acceptance/rejection criteria.
• Ensuring that the finished product meets the quality and food safety requirements.
• Ensuring lab inventory is maintained to ensure zero stock outs.

Responsibilities

Accountabilities:

• Conducting quality checks of RM/PM material received in the plant to ensure that all FLI standards of quality are met.
• Monitoring RM/PM tests, reporting of non-compliance of service providers, and communication about the corrective action.
• Maintaining accurate and comprehensive reports for communication to all the people concerned.
• Conducting regular audits of RM/PM stores for storage condition, FIFO/FEFO, and Allergen implementation.
• Ensuring the smooth implementation of food safety policies.
• Ensuring best quality of RM/PM received through RMPM store quality checks and inspection; implementing right quality control systems/standards for the vendors/suppliers.
• Responsible for ensuring the maintenance of GMP, GHK by adhering to the master cleaning schedule, lab safety & GLP as per ASHA requirements, and internal/external audits (HACCP, AIB, Personal Hygiene, Process audit) at Plant.
• Driving ASHA compliance for the site.
• Communication to vendors regarding Root Cause and failure analysis for deviations and following up for the implementation of corrective actions.
• Ensuring receipt of quality RM/PM material as per the FLI standards.
• Reporting of deviations/discrepancies to vendors/purchase and follow-up for corrective and preventive steps.
• Maintaining KC 13-related RMPM documents & ensuring compliance.
• Coordinating for the AA sample on a monthly basis.
• Training RMPM stores, 13pl, and Lab staff on technical, quality, and food safety requirements.
• Compiling GSM data, exception reports, and RMPM Quality report.
• Ensuring calibration of lab equipment & other online measuring devices.
• Conducting personnel hygiene checks for the plant and driving improvements.

Qualifications

Key Skills/Experience Required:

• B.Sc./B.Tech. in Food Technology.
• 2-3 years of experience in the food manufacturing industry, particularly in RM/PM checking within the foods sector.
• Functional expertise in RM/PM testing, food safety systems, QA systems, and GMP policies.
• Analytical skills, good interpersonal skills, the ability to inspire trust, sound communication skills, ability to work well under pressure, high level of integrity.
