Job Description:
Typical Role Requirements:
Qualification: Post Graduate calibre or equivalent, preferably in Chemistry, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Food Technology, or DIFAT.
Experience: 3-5 years of experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Systems in Food Processing/FMCG – Distillery, Brewery, and Beverage Industry.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Hands-on experience and in-depth knowledge of quality management systems, developing quality-related SOPs and its control.
- Experience in handling quality improvement projects.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office package.
Best Suited for Someone Who:
- Has excellent coaching, influencing, and communication skills.
- Possesses good communication and presentation skills.
Areas of Responsibility:
Quality Operations:
- Analyze raw materials, Intermediate (Blends), and EOL Finished Goods, and report findings to the unit head.
- Inspect packaging materials received at Units and Market, and report to the unit head.
- Communicate non-conformities to vendors and issue CAR (Corrective Action Report) to vendors.
- Ensure online QC such as line startup/changeover from water treatment to final packing.
- Coordinate with other departments for all rejection failures at the unit.
- Calibrate all lab equipment, create a calibration plan, and manage operations as per the supplier’s manual.
- Responsible for the maintenance of the equipment as per supplier recommendations.
- Analyze samples received for customer/consumer complaints and provide a report on findings to the unit head.
- Provide expertise in the standardization of chemical reagents and calibration required for the lab.
- Analyze non-conformities using tools and develop CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions).
- Assist the quality manager with all quality jobs and MIS report preparation and submission to the unit head.
