Bruker India is seeking an Application Specialist (Mass Spectrometry) to be based in Mumbai, India.

Responsibilities

• Provide full portfolio application support for mass spectrometry-based solutions and instrumentation offered by Bruker and its associated applications in the region.
• Maintain and develop existing and new relationships with clients while ensuring Bruker’s high-quality standards.
• Hands-on experience using Mass Spec for Proteomics, metabolomics, and lipidomics applications from sample preparation to data interpretation.
• Provide telephone, remote, and on-site support to users of Bruker MS products, specifically in “OMICS” applications.
• Provide specialized technical sales support to the sales organization for new and existing clients regarding products and solutions.
• Conduct training and follow-up visits to Bruker clients, presenting to key specialists and technical staff.
• Assist users in implementing and maximizing Bruker instrumentation usage in their environment, drawing upon your mass spectrometry application experience.
• Maintain relationships with key Bruker collaborators, partners, and colleagues.
• Maintain a high level of product knowledge and CRM database.
• Present scientific presentations on Bruker MS solutions at conferences or seminars.
• Prepare all reports required by management, including monthly reports and expenses, on time.
• Work closely with other application colleagues in the region, providing support online or on-site as required.

Qualifications

• Masters (minimum) degree in a science subject (Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Biotechnology).
• Laboratory working experience in either Research Life Science or industrial laboratories.
• Experience in understanding various MS platforms like QQQ, Ion Trap, MALDI TOF, MALDI TOF-TOF, and other advanced MS techniques.
• Expert knowledge of analytical Mass spectrometry, complete OMICS workflow, and routine applications.
• Clear understanding of the India research, pharma, life science, and clinical markets, with a proven track record of working with technology-based products in these markets.
• Understanding of the SouthEast Asia region would be advantageous.
• Good market intelligence regarding competitive products and vendors.
• Presentation, data interpretation, and sample preparation skills, along with the willingness to travel extensively.
