The Institute for Stem Cell Science & Regenerative Medicine (www.instem.res.in), Bangalore, is a research institute under the Biotechnology Research and Innovation Council, the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India. iBRIC-inStem’s mandate is to establish collaborative research programs in the field of stem cell biology, regeneration, and repair in development and disease, with an emphasis on translation. To develop strengths in focused areas, research at iBRIC-inStem is driven through collaborative interdisciplinary teams, addressing questions that are beyond the scope of a single laboratory.

iBRIC-inStem invites applications (in online mode) from eligible candidates for the contractual position in the laboratory of Prof. Maneesha S Inamdar. We are looking for dedicated professionals who are result-oriented, can assimilate, analyze, and communicate data effectively, and are excellent team players capable of working in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment.

Monthly Emoluments:

Rs. 37,000/- + 27% HRA (With Net qualification)

Rs. 25,000/- + 27% HRA (Non-Net qualified)

 No. of Post: 01 (One)

Age Limit: 35 years

 Essential Qualification:

MSc Degree in Science from a recognized university with expertise in molecular cloning, cell culture, generation of reporter cell lines, stem cell culture, protein, and molecular biology.

One to two years of experience in R&D in academic institutions.

 Responsibilities:

  • Carry out and supervise laboratory work such as molecular cloning, generation of reporter cell lines, stem cell culture, and all steps of quality control and differentiation of human stem cells as per prescribed protocols.
  • Prepare microscopy samples, imaging, and apply computational methods for image analysis.
  • Follow laboratory safety protocols and ethical considerations, and maintain laboratory workspace and equipment.
  • Regularly analyze data, update projects, conduct literature surveys, and present findings.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and lab records.

Participate in project team meetings and contribute intellectually to projects.

 

Tenure:

Contractual appointment for 11 months, renewable based on progress review and requirement.
