- Perform and review Bacterial Endotoxin Test for product as per the schedule.
- Perform and review bioburden analysis for raw material and packing material.
- Perform bioburden and review analysis for in-process samples.
- Prepare media as and when required.
- Observe the tubes and plates and monitor the discarding procedure of the same.
- Perform periodic microbiological tests as per the schedule, in line with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
- Perform and review enumeration tests for biological indicators and Bacterial Challenge Tests.
- Coordinate with the technical department for any machine-related abnormalities that might affect the quality of the product and its microbiological content.
- Perform sterility tests for finished products and stability samples as per allotment.
- Sign all documents related to microbiological testing.
- Analyze and review water samples for Bacterial Endotoxin Test (BET), bioburden, and pathogens.
- Analyze water system samples after maintenance work.
- Maintain and update stock records of all media and reagents used for microbiological analysis.
- Update the store personnel on procurement requirements and provide a monthly requirement to the supervisor.
- Qualify the prepared media for growth promotion tests.
- Perform gram staining of colonies and send them for identification.
- Perform and review microbiological analysis of stability samples, finished products, raw materials, packaging materials, and in-process samples, as per the daily plan of work and in line with SOPs.
- Perform and review validation as per the laid-down protocol.
- Record all data related to microbiological testing.
- Prepare a requirement list of media and reagents for procurement.
- Inform the supervisor of any abnormalities in microbiological analysis. In the absence of the supervisor, inform the Microbiology Head.
