About the Role
Location: Tumkur
Reporting to: In-Process Quality and Sanitation Lead
The person in this role has to carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
Key Responsibilities
- Implementation and execution of Laboratory Management System, handling testing and release of RM, PM, WIP, FG, coordinating with other executives for shift and day-to-day planning.
- Responsible for implementation and continuous improvement of quality programs in the Tumkur facility such as Good Sanitation Practices, Hygiene practices, and Manufacturing practices.
- In-depth knowledge of Food Safety Management System, FSSC 22000.
- Responsible for sensory evaluation of flavours and other food ingredients.
- Implement various components of the quality control and assurance program comprised of data analysis, systems evaluation, product assessment, and quality technology.
- Responsible for raw material, in-process, and finished goods quality inspection.
- DQ/IQ/OQ/PQ – Qualification Programs for the process and laboratory equipment.
- Chemical Risk Analysis (CRA).
- Hazard Analysis Risk Assessment (HARA).
- Food Processing Line sanitation standards, CIP, and COP.
- Validations covering CIP/COP and test methods validation.
- Continual Improvement.
- CAPA Handling.
- Customer Complaints Handling.

Qualifications and Skills
Training:
- To put in place auditing protocols to verify training is adequate and to highlight areas for improvement.
- To act as a facilitator for the education of all team members, providing them the opportunity to continually improve the standards set.
- To provide a framework for every team member through which they can develop within the organization.
- Provide necessary guidance/training and commit to company training.
Communication:
- To ensure visual control is in place to feedback performance against targets to all team members.
- To pass down information from superior to downline or relevant parties and to bring up important matters to the superior.
- Effective communication to interested parties on time with relevant information.
Continuous Improvement:
- To participate in continuous improvement activities as necessary.
Health & Safety:
- To ensure health and safety is taken care of at all times.
Qualification:
- Postgraduate in Food Technology, Chemistry, Microbiology.
- Candidates having FSSC 22000 Lead Auditor Certificate would be preferred.
- Minimum 5-7 years working experience in the relevant field, food/food ingredients, and candidates from Flavour/Seasoning industry background would be preferred.
