An Interview will be held on 10th September, 2024; from 11:30 A.M onwards for the selection of the post mentioned below at the Institute of Health Sciences, Presidency University, New Town Campus, Kolkata.
Post: 1 Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
Project Name: “Unravelling novel interaction of orphan nuclear receptor, small heterodimer partner (SHP) with hyaluronan-binding protein 1 (HABP1) in hepatocarcinoma cell lines: Implications in autophagy and tumor regulation” (WB DSTBT funded project, Sanction order # 503(Sanc.)/STBT-13015/15/2024-WBSCST SEC)
Date of Interview: 10th September, 2024; from 11:30 A.M onwards
Principal Investigator: Dr. Paramita Saha
Fellowship: Rs. 25,000 per month consolidated
Tenure: The position is available for 3 years/termination of the project, whichever is earlier. Appointment will be subject to annual review for further extension, which will be granted based on research progress and accomplishments. The post is purely temporary and subject to availability of annual fund.
Essential Qualification: M.Sc. in Life Sciences / Biochemistry / Biotechnology / Microbiology / Molecular Biology / Zoology or related field with minimum 75% marks in all
examinations from a recognized University.Desired Qualification: Student who have qualified CSIR/UGC NET-LS/DBT-BET. Hands-on knowledge of mammalian cell culture, molecular biology, and cell biology techniques.

- The above position is purely contractual and is for the duration of the project only. Selected candidates will not be entitled to claim any regular appointments/absorption in this institute.
- No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
- Candidates will not be entertained after the said online interview slot, except in case of any exigency; the decision of the selection committee will be final and binding on the candidates.
