Applications are invited from eligible Indian nationals for one position of Junior Research Fellow under a project entitled “Development of cost-effective chromatography matrix for affordable monoclonal antibodies” sponsored by the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Ministry of Science and Technology, GoI, New Delhi [GP-476] under Prof. Ipsita Roy, Department of Biotechnology, NIPER-SAS Nagar. The position is purely temporary for a period of 10 months and is co-terminus with the duration of the project.
1. Essential Qualifications:
- M. Sc./M. S. (Pharm.)/M. Pharm. in Biochemistry/Microbiology/Biotechnology/Life Sciences.
- Minimum CGPA of 6.75 (or 60% marks) for General category/OBC, 6.25 (or 55% marks) for SC/ST, 5.75 (or 50% marks) for PwD candidates on a 10-point scale in the qualifying examination.
2. Desired Qualifications: Documented research experience in protein analysis and characterization tools is desirable.
3. Age limit: Below 28 years as on the date of the Walk-in-Interview.
4. Fellowship: Rs. 31,000/- p.m. consolidated (+ HRA, if
applicable).5. Tenure of the position: The position is purely temporary for a period of 10 months and is co-terminus with the project.
6. Walk-in-Interview Details:
- Date: 04.10.2024 (Friday)
- Time: 3:00 PM onwards
- Venue: Room No. F-108, Department of Biotechnology, NIPER-SAS Nagar – 160062 (Punjab).
7. Application Process:
- Candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria may appear for the Walk-in-Interview with a duly filled application form in the prescribed proforma.
- Attach the latest passport-size photograph along with attested copies of testimonials, degrees, and certificates in support of qualifications, experience, and other details mentioned in the application form.

9. Application Fee:
- General and OBC candidates: Rs. 500/- (Demand Draft in favour of ‘Director, NIPER-SAS Nagar’ payable at SAS Nagar (Mohali)/Chandigarh).
- SC/ST/PWD/female candidates: No fee.
10. Interview Requirements: Candidates must produce original documents/testimonials at the time of the interview. Incomplete applications or applications without supporting documents will not be considered.
11. Age Relaxation: As per Government of India rules for SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates.
12. Selection Process: The selection process may include a presentation, interview, or any other method as decided by the Competent Authority.
13. Institute’s Rights: The Institute reserves the right to withdraw the advertised post at any time without assigning any reason.
14. No TA/DA: No TA/DA will be paid for attending the Walk-in-Interview.
