Applications are invited for Project Appointment under the following project. Appointment shall be on a contractual basis with consolidated pay, renewable yearly or up to the duration of the project, whichever is earlier.
Title of the Project: Genome engineering of yeast for production of high-value metabolites

Post: Project Assistant (01)
Consolidated fellowship / Pay-slab: INR 25,000/month
Qualifications: Master’s degree (M.Sc. OR equivalent) in Life Sciences/ Biochemistry/ Molecular Biology/ Biotechnology/ Zoology/ Microbiology, or related subjects with at least 60% marks or 6.50 CGPA from a recognized university.
Desirable:
- Experience of working in a yeast facility.
- Experience in Molecular Biology techniques including cloning and recombinant protein expression.
- Experience of working in industry.
- Ability to maintain accurate lab records and data analyses, good organizational and prioritization skills, team player, and willingness to learn.
Scope of the Project: The successful candidate will work on CRISPR-based modification of gene expression in yeast cells to optimize bioproduction of high-value metabolites. The
selected candidate will be provided accommodation in the IBAB hostel, based on availability.How to Apply:
