Advertisement for the Position of Junior Research Fellow/PA-1
Applications are invited for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF)/PA-1 on a contract basis to work in a time-bound DBT-sponsored research project ((BT/PR41974/MED/97/549/2021)) sanctioned to the undersigned at the Department of Epidemiology and Public Health, Central University of Tamil Nadu.
Details of the position:
Project Title: Development of an aptamer nanozyme-based colorimetric assay for paediatric Scrub typhus.
Position: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)/PA-1 – 1 post.
Monthly Fellowship:
- Rs. 31,000/- (for NET/GATE/ICMR-JRF/DBT-JRF/CUCET qualified) + 8% HRA.
- For Non-NET or non-qualifying national-level examination: Rs. 25,000 + 8% HRA.
Tenure of Position: 1 year, extendable annually till the completion of the project period, subject to satisfactory performance.
Essential Qualification:
MSc in Life Science/ Microbiology/ Biochemistry/ Molecular biology/ Biotechnology/ Bioinformatics/ Biomedical Science/ and other relevant disciplines with a minimum of 55% with CSIR NET/ICMR-JRF/DBT/ ASRB NET/UGC NET/TIFR-JGEEBILS and other national level exams.
Desirable:
Experience in construction of plasmids, protein expression, aptamer synthesis, lateral flow, point-of-care assay development, and any other relevant molecular biology work experience.
Age Limit: As specified by the DST
and DBT and as per rules of Govt. of India.Documents to be presented at the time of interview:
- Filled-in application in the format attached, covering letter, detailed curriculum vitae.
- Original and attested photocopies of all documents, certificates, degree, and mark sheets.
- Original and attested copy of CSIR NET/ICMR-JRF/DBT/ ASRB NET/UGC NET/TIFR-JGEEBILS and other national-level exams.
- Copies of certificates/testimonials/documents which the candidate may wish to bring to the knowledge of the selection committee.
- Filled-in application and short CV with PG, UG, research experience, publication details, and a copy of CSIR NET/ICMR-JRF/DBT/ ASRB NET/UGC NET/TIFR-JGEEBILS and other national level exams in a single PDF file to be sent to: [email protected] till the date of the Walk-in Interview.
- Candidates who fail to send their application via mail can directly submit their application by hand on the date of the Walk-in Interview.
