Project Associate II

Job Profile

Applications are invited for the position of Project Associate-II for a time-bound DST-funded Indo-Israel project -Elucidation of RNA-RNA Interaction Networks in Plant-Associated Bacteria towards Enhancing Food Security-

Job Profile:

1. Plan activities of the project and monitor progress against the approved work plan.
2. Work with the team to make sure the project is on track.
3. Collect and analyze qualitative and quantitative data (both primary and secondary).
4. Write and prepare project reports, conduct literature reviews, and other deliverables as per the project’s timelines.
5. Participate in internal and external meetings, workshops, conferences, and other dissemination activities.
6. Write and participate in publications (scientific papers, policy briefs, opinion pieces, etc.).
7. Be comfortable with travel (International-Israel).

Experience: 2 – 3 Years

Qualification

1. Master’s degree in any area of Life Sciences/Natural/Agricultural Sciences OR a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from a recognized University or equivalent- with a good academic record.
2. Two years experience in Research and Development in Industrial and Academic Institutions or Science and Technology Organizations and Scientific activities and services.
3. Candidates who have qualified (a) National Eligibility Tests – CSIR UGC NET including Lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE (b) A selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions- will be PREFERRED.

Skills

Hands-on experience in Molecular biology (particularly RNA isolation, cloning, quantitative real-time PCR, Northern and Western blotting), Microbiology, and Computational studies (OMICS) is REQUIRED. Basic understanding of agricultural science and Field.
