Eligible candidates are invited to attend WALK-IN INTERVIEW on the following date for the post of “Junior Research Fellow (JRF)” sanctioned under DST-SERB project entitled ‘‘Role of neddylation in presynaptic regulation of glutamate excitotoxicity during hypoxia”, under Dr. Kalpana Barhwal, Department of Physiology, AIIMS, Bhubaneswar on 10th September 2024. The essential qualifications, experience, consolidated salary, and service tenure are as under:
Project Name and Project ID: Role of neddylation in presynaptic regulation of glutamate excitotoxicity during hypoxia
Project Duration: Project duration is 06 months (Till 10.03.2025)
Period of Appointment: 06 months or till PDC of the project, whichever is earlier
Resource Requirement: 01 (One)
Upper age limit: 30 years as on the date of interview
Education: Masters in Science (M.Sc.)
Essential qualification: M.Sc. in Life Sciences and allied subjects/Physiology/Bio-Medical Sciences/Zoology/Biochemistry with at least 55% of the aggregate marks in the qualifying examinations.
Desirable qualification: Valid GATE score / NET-JRF
Key Skills: Ability to
carry out animal cell culture experiments, perform gel electrophoresis, western blot, ELISA, RT-PCR, immunocytochemistry, silencing experiments, biochemical measurements, etc. Ability to communicate in English, Hindi, and OriyaJob Title: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

Proposed Salary: Fellowship of Rs. 35,960 consolidated per month as per DST-SERB norms

- Execute cell culture experiments

- These are tenure vacancies under a funded project and are not employment on AIIMS Bhubaneswar payroll. Employment will be automatically terminated upon completion of the project, and there is no liability for permanent employment on AIIMS, Bhubaneswar, or the Principal Investigator. Also, the candidates have no right to claim permanent employment based on this job.
- AIIMS, BBSR reserves the right to terminate the fellowship with prior notice of 1 month if performance is not satisfactory.
- Age Concession: Age relaxation is admissible in respect of SC/ST/OBC candidates, Retrenched Government Employees, Departmental candidates (including projects), and Ex-servicemen in accordance with the instructions issued by the Central Government from time to time. Age concession to the extent of service rendered in other research projects will also be admissible for experienced and skilled persons.
- Selected candidates have to undergo training at AIIMS, Bhubaneswar.
- No TA/DA will be paid for attending this Walk-in-Interview.
