Interview for the recruitment in Project Scientist I position in Dr. Rituparna Sinha Roy’s lab

A position for Project Scientist I is available in the research group of Dr. Rituparna Sinha Roy, Associate Professor, Dept. of Biological Sciences, IISER Kolkata. The duty involves Computational Biology work.

Computational Job description:

Postdoctoral scientist needs to have expertise in computational biology (MD simulations with CHARMM36 all atom force-fields using GROMACS) and needs to have detailed knowledge about post MD simulation trajectory analysis. He/she needs to have detailed knowledge about peptide and protein conformation and force-field development of unnatural amino acids.

1. Project title: “National Network Project of University of Kalyani and IISER, Kolkata”
2. Funding agency: Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India.
3. Principle investigator: Dr. Rituparna Sinha Roy, Associate Professor, Dept. of Biological Sciences
4. Remuneration: Rs. 56000+24% HRA = Rs. 56000+ Rs.13440 = Rs. 69440 (consolidated)
5. Tenure: 12 months, it can be extended based on the terms and conditions of the project and the performance of the candidate.
6. Essential Qualification: PhD degree in the area of Bioinformatics/ Bioscience and Bioengineering/Biophysics/Computational Biology/Computational Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Molecular Biophysics/ Biophysical Chemistry/Structural Biology and related areas from any UGC recognized University.
7. Age Limit: Age should be 35 years or below by 15th August, 2024
