Applications are invited from Indian nationals for the post of Project Lab Assistant, for the research project funded by the Lady Tata Memorial Trust.
Name of the Post: Project Lab Assistant, Department of Biological Sciences
Salary: Rs. 20,000/- per month. In case of non-availability of residential accommodation, HRA @ 18% shall be admissible.
Duration: One year (extendable up to five years or until the project completion, whichever is earlier, subject to satisfactory performance and availability of funds).
Essential Qualification:
Applicants should have a B.Sc. in Life Sciences or related subjects with knowledge of the functioning of a pathogenic virus research lab, with a sound knowledge of basic microbiological techniques such as microbiological media preparation, plasmid and genomic DNA isolation, preparation of agarose and polyacrylamide gels, PCR, and preparation of laboratory reagents, and handling of biological samples and instruments such as autoclave.
Desirable: Experience (3-4 years) of working in reputed organization/department(s) in managing the lab, routine documentation, and knowledge of biosafety rules are desirable.
Age: Maximum age is 35 years for general candidates at the time of
application (to be relaxed by 5 years for SC and ST candidates and persons with physical disabilities).Application Procedure:
