Applications are invited for the position of a Senior Research Fellow in a DBT-funded project. The appointment shall be on a contractual basis with consolidated pay, renewable yearly or up to the duration of the project, whichever is earlier.

Title of the Project: DBT-BUILDER-Interdisciplinary Life Science Programme for Advanced Research and Education (Level 1)

Duration of the Project: Till 07.03.2027

Position: Junior Research Fellow (01)

Consolidated fellowship / Pay-slab: Rs. 37,000/- + HRA

Qualifications:

Master’s Degree (M.Sc./M.Tech. or equivalent)/B.Tech. in Bioinformatics/Biotechnology/ Computer Science/ Life Sciences or related subjects with at least 60% of marks or 6.50 CGPA from a recognized University.

Candidates who have qualified national level examinations such as CSIR-UGC-NET including lectureship, DBT-BET, and GATE will be desired.

Candidates should possess strong skills in programming.

Desirable qualifications:

4) Experience in analyzing Next Generation Sequencing Data and the capability to understand machine/deep learning algorithms.

5) Ability to maintain accurate lab records

and data, good organizational and prioritization skills, team spirit, and the willingness to absorb new techniques.

Scope of the Project: The successful candidate will work on the analysis of Next Generation Sequencing Data and imaging data and will apply machine and deep learning algorithms for the prediction of early biomarkers in cancer and neurodevelopmental disorders.

Candidates who show exceptional performance in the first six months will be encouraged to apply for the Ph.D. programme. The selected candidate will be provided accommodation in the IBAB hostel.
