Job Description Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Microbiologist to join our team. The ideal candidate shall have in-depth knowledge and a proficient skill set in various Microbiological techniques including MLT, Bacterial endotoxin testing by Gel clot and Kinetic Turbidimetric method, Bioburden, Sterility testing in RABS/isolator. The candidate shall have exposure to particulate matter testing by Light Obscuration method as well as Microscopy.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform Microbial Limit Testing (MLT) to determine the presence of microorganisms in products, raw materials, and in-process samples.
  • Perform in-process bioburden testing of bulk samples at different stages.
  • Conduct Bacterial endotoxin testing (BET) to ensure product safety and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Carry out Sterility testing as well as Bacteriostasis/Fungistasis testing for finished products (liquid/Lyophilized/complex products) in an isolator.
  • Be well-versed with the method validations/suitability testing for MLT, BET, Bioburden, AET, and Disinfectant efficacy testing.
  • Be responsible for Biological indicator testing of various types of BI units.
  • Maintain detailed records of all testing procedures and results.
  • Perform laboratory GLP activities like pH meter, balance, and other instrument calibration/requalifications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to microbiological testing and methodologies.
