Advertisement for Project Junior Research Fellow (JRF) position
Applications are invited for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) position to work in the SERB-CRG funded project. Details are given below:
Project Title: Biocatalytic Method for the Asymmetric Synthesis of Pharmaceutically Important Substituted Benzodiazepines, Benzoxazepines, and Benzothiazepines using Imine Reductases
Temporary Position: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
No. of vacancies: 01
Emoluments: ₹37,000/- per month for the first two years and ₹42,000/- per month for the third year
Essential Qualifications:
Postgraduate degree (MSc) in Life Sciences/Biotechnology or equivalent degree in Life Sciences/Biotechnology selected through a process described through any one of the following:
a. Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Tests – CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE.
b. The selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, etc.
Desirable Experience: Practical experience in protein expression and PCR
Age Limit: The
upper age limit for applying for the JRF shall be 28 years, which is relaxed up to 5 years in the case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes, Physically Handicapped/Visually Handicapped, and female applicants, whereas 3 years in case of OBCs (Non-creamy layer candidates).Tenure: Till the end of the project (December 2025).
