AcSIR is an overarching institution encompassing 82 affiliated Research Institutes, which among others include; 38 Institutes of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), 28 Institutes of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), 6 Institutes of the Department of Science & Technology (DST).
