Research Fellow (Temporary) and Project Assistant (Temporary) positions available in the Unilever Sponsored Project.

Contractual positions are required under a project entitled “EVALUATION OF THE IMPACT OF BIOSTIMULANTS ON YIELD AND QUALITY OF TEA” financed by Unilever. The eligible candidates can apply for the post on or before the given date, and the shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview at Tocklai Tea Research Institute, Jorhat-785008.

Project Duration: 3 years only.

Position Details:

Research Fellow

Upper Age Limit: 35 years

Number of Posts: 1 (One)

Essential Qualification: M.Sc. in Agronomy/Soil Science/Botany

Desirable Qualifications and Experience: Research experience in the relevant field

Monthly Fellowship: Rs. 25,000 + 10% HRA per month

Job Responsibility: Project-related research work. The candidate will have the responsibility of field work and laboratory work.

Project Assistant

Upper Age Limit: 30 years

Number of Posts: 1 (One)

Essential Qualification: Graduation (Science) from a recognized university

Desirable Qualification and Experience: B.Sc. in Agriculture/Botany

Monthly Fellowship: Rs. 15,000 per month + 10% HRA

Job Responsibility:

Field and laboratory work. Data collection at different locations.

General Instructions:

1. The above posts are purely temporary and co-terminus with the project.
2. Candidates should submit a soft copy of the duly filled-in application form to the email id [email protected] on or before 12th July, 2024 positively.
3. Candidates must mention the post they desire to apply for during the application process.
4. Candidates interested in applying for more than one post must submit a separate application against each post.
5. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview. No TA/DA or any other expenses will be provided for attending the interview.
6. Shortlisted candidates must carry a set of photocopies of documents (testimonials of qualifications, mark sheets, experience, date of birth, etc.) along with originals for verification.
7. All other terms and conditions of appointment will be governed by prevailing Institute rules, and the decision of the Chairman of the Selection Committee will be final and binding.
8. Selected candidates need to join immediately or at very short notice.
9. The Director, Tocklai Tea Research Institute, Jorhat, Assam, reserves all rights of selection or rejection of a candidature, including cancellation of the interview, without assigning any reason thereof.
