Institute of Life Sciences (ILS), Bhubaneswar, an autonomous institute of the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India invites applications from Indian Nationals to join in the following positions coterminous with the project duration.

Principal Investigator: Dr. Soma Chattopadhyay
Position 1: Junior Research Fellow
Project title: DBT funded project ‘Investigating viroporins essential for viral assembly as targets for antiviral design’.
Duration: 3 Years
Name of position: Junior Research Fellow
Fellowship: Rs. 31,000/- + HRA@16%
Eligibility: Masters in Biotechnology, Microbiology, Life Sciences, and allied branches and having secured 60% aggregate marks (relaxation will be given as per guidelin
e) having NET-JRF/NET-LS/GATE qualification are eligible to apply. Preference will be given to candidates with research experience in virology, molecular biology, cell-biology, and biochemistry.Age Limit: The candidate should be below 28 years in age, as on 8th August, 2024. Age relaxation will be given to the candidates as per Govt. of India rules.

Position 2: Technical Assistant
Project title: DBT funded project “Anti-viral screening platform for viral diseases: with special reference to COVID-19”.
Duration: Upto March’ 2025
Remuneration: Rs 20,000/- + HRA@16%
Eligibility:
- B.Sc. in Biotechnology, Life Sciences, or allied branches are eligible to apply.
- Candidates having more than one year experience working in BSL2/BSL3/ virology/ molecular biology/biochemistry will be preferred.

Incomplete applications and applications without the above-mentioned documents will be rejected.
No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
