The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Pune is a premier institute dedicated to research and teaching in the basic sciences. It was established in 2006 by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (renamed Ministry of Education in August 2020). In 2012, IISER Pune was declared as an Institute of National Importance by an Act of Parliament.
Institute invites applications from Indian nationals for the following post purely on temporary and contractual basis under funded project:

Title of the Project: “VAPB at membrane contact sites: ALS-FTD at the crossroads of ER stress, proteostasis, lipid homeostasis and inflammation”

Minimum educational Qualification: M.S. / M.Sc. / M.Tech. in Life Sciences / Biotechnology with Genetics as one of the subjects with a minimum 70% marks / equivalent grade.
Additional percentage cut-off will be applied during the screening process if needed.
Desirable: Research experience of at least two years in handling and maintenance of Drosophila
stocks and experimental crosses along with confocal imaging. An interest in developmental biology and genetics is desirable.Tenure of the appointment: Initially for a period of one year extendable for further period subject to satisfactory performance of the incumbent and continuation of the project.
Consolidated emoluments per month: Rs.40,300/-
Upper age limit as on last date of application: Not more than 30 years. Age relaxation commensurate with educational qualification/s and/or experience/s of the applicant may be considered for candidates having qualification and experience higher than the advertised with the prior approval of the competent authority.
