IISER Kolkata Research Vacancy For Microbiology, Biology – Attend Walk-In
Walk-in interview for the position of a Research Assistant opening as part of a project to be undertaken in the Centre for Climate and Environmental Studies at IISER Kolkata.
Project Title: Restoration of two urban waterbodies under Bidhannagar Municipal Corporation, Salt Lake, Kolkata, using bio-engineering approaches.
Funding Agency: West Bengal Pollution Control Board (WBPCB)

Salary: As per sanction letter (WBPCB)
Age Limit: Must not be over 35 years as on 31st July, 2024 which can be relaxed for certain reserved categories as per rules of Government of India. Relaxation in age, educational qualifications, or experience may be considered in case of exceptionally meritorious candidates.
Background of the project: The project intends to restore two urban wetlands in the metropolis of Kolkata using holistic microbiome-based approaches. For further details please write to Prof. Punyasloke Bhadury at [email protected]
Qualifications: Master’s degree in Natural Science including Microbiology/Applied Microbiology/Botany/Environmental Science. Candidates with field experience including in aquatic environments will be preferred.

Walk-in interview will be held on 31st July, 2024 in Lab M254, Second Floor, Research Complex, IISER Kolkata; Reporting Time: 10 AM

The position is initially for five months and can be extended based on satisfactory progress. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
