INTERVIEW FOR THE POST OF FIELD ASSISTANT

The Head, ICAR-IARI Regional Station, Amartara Cottage, Shimla 171004 intend to recruit Project Fellow (one post) under project entitled “Evaluation of PIF 320 5% SC against apple diseases” purely on contractual basis and co-terminus with project. Walk in interview will be conducted on 18/07/2024 at 11.00 am at Office cum Laboratory building, IARI RS Amartara Cottage, Near RTO Shimla. A detail of the position is given below:

Emoluments: 25000/- (consolidated)

Essential qualifications: MSc in Plant Pathology/Horticulture/ Microbiology/ Biotechnology/ Botany

Experience: Minimum 2 years experience in laboratory/field works, handling equipment

Desirable: Work experience in pathogen isolation, fungicide/pesticide applications etc.

Duration of the project: 2 years

Terms and condition for the post of Project Fellow

i. The post is purely temporary and will be filled on contractual basis till the termination of the project.
ii. Maximum age for the post is 40 years (age relaxation of five years for SC/ST and women and three years for OBC).
iii. The candidate shall not claim regular appointment at this institute, as the post is co-terminus with the project, and committee’s decision will be final.
iv. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview in person.
v. Only the candidates meeting essential qualifications would be interviewed.
vi. Concealing of facts or canvassing in any form shall lead to disqualification or termination of such candidates.
vii. The selected candidate will be stationed at ICAR-IARI Regional Station, Amartara Cottage, Shimla 171004, but have to attend field trials conducted at various locations in Himachal Pradesh and other places as and when required.
viii. Candidate should be willing to complete the allotted work in time. Work may be allotted based on the project requirements rather than the expertise of the candidate.
ix. Candidate working elsewhere must bring NOC from their present Employer.
x. Bring original documents and 01 photocopy set of testimonials along with a duly-filled application form given in the Annexure at the time of the interview.
