Call for a Project Fellow in an R&D project funded by “UGC-DAE Consortium for Scientific Research”

Applications are invited from eligible candidates to work as a Project Fellow under the “UGC-DAE Consortium for Scientific Research”-funded R&D project [CRS/2022-23/02/808] entitled “Evaluation of proteostasis and misfolded proteins in skin injuries of irradiated-diabetic mice to identify markers with diagnostic significance”. The post is purely temporary and contractual in nature. Interested candidates from Indian Nationals are requested to send duly completed application form (in the prescribed format) along with all information in detail about the educational qualifications, research experience and publications (if any) and copies of supporting documents to Prof. Urmi Chatterji, Principal Investigator, Department of Zoology, University of Calcutta, 35 BC Road, Kolkata – 700 019, India, within 14 days from the date of advertisement. Project Title: Evaluation of proteostasis and misfolded proteins in skin injuries of irradiated-diabetic mice to identify markers with diagnostic significance

Project Duration: One Year; extendable to 3 years or till culmination of the project

Essential Qualification

For Project Fellow (Junior) – 1: M.Sc. (not earlier than 3 years) in any branch of Biological Science/Life Science with a minimum of 60% marks in the concerned subject, preferably with valid GATE/NET-JRF/NET-LS/SET qualification

Fellowship

  • CRS Project Fellow
  • Junior – I: Rs. 14,000 + HRA (M.Sc. not earlier than 3 years) with a minimum of 55% marks in the concerned subject
    Or,
  • Junior – II: Rs. 31,000 + HRA (M.Sc. + valid GATE/NET-JRF/LS + Ph.D. registration of the student under the supervision of the PI at the PI’s University

  • Continuation will depend on the satisfaction of research performance.
  • Candidates are required to appear for the interview with curriculum vitae, all relevant original certificates with a set of self-attested photocopies and one passport size photograph.
  • Selected candidate will not be permitted to claim for any regular/part-time appointments in this University or any other Institutes or University.
  • The student appointed under this project should spend a substantial amount of time at UGC-DAE CSR.
