RAMAIAH DOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP 2024-25

Applications are invited for Ph.D. Admission (Full Time) for the academic year 2024-25

(As per VTU letter No.VTU/Aca/A-12/2021-22/3325 dated 2nd November 2021)

Notification

The Ramaiah Institute of Technology was established in the year 1962 by our founder chairman Dr. M S Ramaiah, a great philanthropist, visionary, industrialist, and educationist. The journey began in 1962 with two branches of engineering, mechanical and electrical and the institute grew by leaps and bounds and currently has 17 undergraduate programs, 11 PG programs, and R&D centres in all the departments affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi.

Applications are invited for the Ph.D. Admission (Full Time) in the following departments:

Eligibility:

Candidates with valid VTU-ETR scores valid for two years OR candidates qualified in the UGC-NET (including JRF)/UGC-CSIR NET (including JRF)/SLET/GATE/CAT or other similar national tests and having qualifying percentage scores in their respective validity periods.

Application Process:

The candidates, who desire to apply, are requested to visit the weblink: https://www.msrit.edu/phd

The application is required to be filled online and signed, printout of the same along with relevant documents be sent to the following address on or before the mentioned due date: The Principal, Ramaiah Institute of Technology, MSR Nagar, MSRIT Post, Bengaluru-560 054, Karnataka. The envelope should be superscribed as “Application for Ph.D. admission 2024-25”. The online fee of Rs.2000/- (Rupees Two Thousand only) is to be paid through payment gateway at the time of filling the online application.

Opening date for application form: 24th June 2024

Last date for receipt of filled in application form: 24th July 2024

Incomplete applications are liable to be rejected and further correspondence on such cases will not be entertained under any circumstances.

Note:

1. Date of interview will be intimated to the shortlisted candidates.
2. No TA and DA will be paid for attending the interview.

Fellowship:

To encourage bright, committed, enthusiastic, dedicated and result oriented researchers to take up indigenous research and create a talent pool, potential for quality researchers in the institute, the institute is providing “Ramaiah Doctoral Fellowship (RDF)” to full-time research scholars leading to a Ph.D. degree.

Fellowship of Rs.40,000/- (Rupees Forty Thousand only) per month for a period of 3 years is given from the date of registration based on the recommendation of the committee every year. The decision of the committee in the selection of researchers for Ph.D. admission shall be final and binding.
