Job Description: Should be capable of carrying out cell biology experiments in human cells, independent experiments on biochemistry, molecular biology and confocal microscopy based imaging.

Senior Research Fellow	1	Rs 42000/- (consolidated) per month (as per DST guidelines)	(i) Post Graduate degree in Biological Sciences/ Post Graduate Degree in a professional Courses from a recognized University or equivalent; and (ii)2 years’ experience in Research and Development in Industrial and Academic Institutions or Science and Technology Organizations and Scientific activities and services	Candidates must be selected through (a) National Eligibility Tests – CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE or (b) A selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions. Such as DST, DBT, ICMR, DOE, DRDO, MOE etc.

 

Nature of Duty: The candidate will be expected to shuttle between NII and NIBMG

labs, willingness to learn state-of-the art cell biology, molecular biology and biochemical assays

The upper age limit for applying for SRF shall be 32 years.

Age relaxation: The upper age limit is relaxable upto 5 years in case of candidates belonging to scheduled castes/tribes/OBC/women and physically handicapped candidates.

1. This position is contractual, and appointments will be initially for one year, which is extendable depending upon performance and requirements of the project.
