Online Interview
Applications are invited to attend Online interviews for post of Senior Research Fellow and Project Associate-II posts in externally funded project purely on contractual basis (as indicated below) till 31st March 2025 which will be held at Division of Genetics, ICAR- Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi 110 012 in online mode.
The eligible candidates are requested to send their application in the enclosed proforma along with self-attested scanned copy of the original documents to the e-mail address [email protected] latest by 30th June 2024. After screening the applications, the eligible and selected candidates will be informed about the details of the interview (Date and Time) by email. Original documents will be verified at the time of interview. If any candidate is found to have submitted false claims at a later stage, their candidature will be summarily rejected. Name of the Post & Project: Senior Research Fellow (SRF) in ICAR Funded project entitled “Molecular approaches for mapping of novel gene(s)/ QTL(s) for resistance/tolerance to different stresses in Rice, Wheat, Chickpea and Indian mustard including sheath blight complex genomics and resistance mechanisms – Chickpea Component”
No. of Posts: One
Emoluments: SRF Rs. 35,000/+24% HRA (with two years research experience) (As per ICAR memorandum F.No.Ag.Edn.6/27/2014-HRD Agri. Edn Dated 31.07.2019)
Essential: Degree only in Genetics/Plant Breeding/Genetics and Plant Breeding/seed Science/Biotechnology with 4 years bachelor’s degree and two years M.Sc. or M. Tech (i.e. 4+2). Those with 3 years bachelor’s degree must have UGC/CSIR/ICAR valid NET qualification or equivalent or Ph.D in any of the above disciplines (As per ICAR memorandum F. No. Ag. Edn. 6/27/2014-HRD Agri. Edn Dated 31.07.2019)
Essential: Two years’ experience in Research in Industrial and Academic Institutions ONLY or Science and Technology Organizations and Scientific activities and services as evidenced by a certificate from an employer
Post II
Name of the Post & Project: SRF/Project Associate- II in DBT funded Project entitled: “Characterization of chickpea germplasm resource to accelerate genomics-assisted crop improvement ”
No. of Posts: One
Emoluments: Rs. 42000 per month +24% HRA for SRF or PA II Rs 28000 +24 % HRA
Essential:
- Candidates selected through National Eligibility Tests (for Senior Research Fellow) as mentioned in the DST office memorandum No. DST/PCPM/206/2022 dated 26 June 2023 OR Non-NET qualified candidates (for Project Associate II) as mentioned in the DST office memorandum No. SR/SS/Z-05/2019, dated 10th July 2020
- Having Graduate and Master’s degree in Agriculture (4+2 years) with specialization in Plant Breeding and Genetics/Seed Science and Technology/biotechnology (Agriculture or plant sciences as evidenced by research) only.
- Two years’ experience in Research in Industrial and Academic Institutions ONLY or Science and Technology Organizations and Scientific activities and services as evidenced by a certificate from an employer
Desirable:
- Candidate understanding plant breeding trials, experience of handling field crops, crossing techniques and statistical analysis software like R and software uploading and analysis.
- The work involves going for offseason crossing, trial data capture for longer periods all over India and the candidate shall be willing for the same.
Terms & Conditions
i. Age limit: Maximum age 35 years for SRF and PA-II (age relaxation of five years for SC/ST & women and three years for OBC).
ii. Contractual Basis: The posts are purely temporary and will be filled on a contractual basis initially up to 31st March 2025, but may be extended further based on the performance of the candidate or till the termination of the project whichever is earlier.
iii. Regular Appointment: The candidate shall not claim regular appointment at this Institute, as the positions are co-terminus with the project.
iv. Online Interview: The interview for the shortlisted and eligible candidates will be held online, the details of which will be communicated to eligible candidates by email.
v. Reporting Time: Reporting time for the online interview will be communicated and all the candidates shall adhere to the instructions.
vi. Application Form: The candidates will have to compulsorily fill in the application form (as per the format annexed), all the scan certificates from matriculation onwards, date of birth certificate, NET/equivalent certificate, degree certificate either original or provisional, and a recent photograph enclosed onto the scanned application form. Proof of experience and publications also need to be sent by email. All documents should be made into one PDF.
vii. Original Documents: The selected candidate will be required to produce all the original documents and medical certificate at the time of joining.
viii. Expenses: No TA/DA/any other expenses will be paid for attending the interview.
ix. Essential Qualifications: Only the candidates having essential qualifications would be shortlisted and entertained for the interview.
x. Disqualification: Concealing of facts or canvassing in any form shall lead to disqualification or termination.
xi. Declaration: The candidate intending to attend the interview, if any of his near or distant relatives is an employee of the ICAR/IARI, has to declare his/her name, designation, nature of duties, relationship in writing so as to reach by ………… If on the date of the interview such declaration is furnished and found that his relative is an employee of ICAR/IARI, such candidate will not be allowed for interview.
xii. Submission of Documents: All the other candidates are also required to compulsorily submit the scanned declaration duly signed in the format annexed along with other documents in the e-mail.
xiii. Disputes: In case of any disputes, it will be resolved in the jurisdiction of the New Delhi court only.
