POSITION FOR ONE POST OF PROJECT ASSISTANT

Applications are invited by the undersigned from the eligible candidates for ONE post of Project Assistant, in the following research project sponsored by Central Silk Board, Government of India, in this Institute.

Title of the project: “Validation of SNP markers associated with economic traits in Bombyx mori L.” [Project Code: SIT08015 MIC]

1. Tenure of the project: Mar, 2024 to Feb 2026 / till completion of the project / whichever is earlier.
2. Essential Qualifications: B.Sc. / M. Sc. in Life Sciences with first class [equivalent to 60% marks (55% for SC/ST candidates)]
3. Desirable qualifications: Knowledge in silkworm rearing and genetics, Molecular biology experiments, data recording and computer basics.
4. Emoluments: Rs. 15000/- consolidated
   Eligible candidates may appear for a Walk-in-Interview at the time and venue given below with bio-data, a passport size photograph, originals and one copy each of educational qualifications from SSLC, PUC/Higher secondary, B. Sc. M. Sc. etc., along with proof of date of birth, experience certificate and caste certificate for SC/ST candidates, valid e-mail ID and telephone/mobile numbers and contact details.

1. Date of walk-in-interview: 22-06-2024
2. Time: 2:00 PM (Candidates should reach the venue by 1:00 PM for verification of documents).
3. Entry of candidates will be permitted only till 12 Noon.

5. Upper age limit: 28 years as on 01/03/2024 (relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST/OBC/Physically challenged and women candidates).
6. No TA/DA will be provided to attend the interview.
7. The above-mentioned position is purely temporary on a contractual basis and co-terminus with the project. Further claim for any post will not be entertained thereafter.
8. Canvassing in any form will lead to cancellation of candidature.
9. The decision of the Director shall be final and binding in all respects.
