TERI-School of Advanced Studies Invites Applications For JRFs in DBT Funded Project
Applications are invited for the appointment of JRFs for a DBT, Government of India project entitled “Application of CRISPR-Cas9 in editing multicopy homologs of MIR160 & MIR167 (precursor and promoter sequences) in polyploid Brassica juncea: Technology demonstration for trait manipulation and functional analysis of miRNA genes in polyploids.”
Eligibility:
Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science OR Graduate/ Post Graduate Degree in Professional course selected through a process described through any one of the following:
a. Scholars selected through National Eligibility Tests-CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and GATE.
b. The selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT (Category I), DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER. Appointment of JRFs from Category-II merit list of DBT-BET will be considered. Candidates will be paid fellowships at par with NET/GATE/BET qualified candidates as per DST OM No. A.SRlS9/Z-0S/2019 dated 30 Jan 2019.
Age: Maximum 30 years as on the last date of receipt of application through email.
- Note: JRF will be expected to register for a doctoral programme and align PhD objectives with those of the project.
Emoluments: Rs. 37,000 + Rs. 9,990 (27% HRA).

i) Project duration: Five years or till the completion of the project.
