VACANCY NOTIFICATION
Walk-in-interview will be held in the Division of Plant Pathology, IARI, New Delhi -110012 for the position of one Junior Research Fellow (1) under the IIT KHARAGPUR AI4ICPS I HUB FOUNDATION funded project on June 30, 2024. The reporting time for the walk-in interview is at 10.00 A.M. The eligible candidates should bring their application giving full details of academic records and experience along with attested photocopy as well as original copy of the relevant documents.

Emoluments: Rs 37000/- + Rs 8880/- (24% HRA) – Rs 45880/- per month.
Qualification
Essential: Master’s degree in Plant Pathology/Plant Sciences/Botany having minimum of 60% marks with 4 or 5 years of Bachelor’s degree or candidates having Post Graduate degree in Basic Sciences with 3 years Bachelor’s degree and 2 years Master’s degree, should have qualified UGC/CSIR/ICAR-NET/GATE or Ph.D. in relevant discipline.
Desirable: Working experience in host-pathogen interaction, modeling pathogen infection, epidemiology, machine learning or artificial intelligence.
Terms & Conditions
- Duly filled application form along with relevant certificates and proof should reach on 30th June 2024 at 10 AM to Dr. Parimal Sinha, Principal Scientist, Division of Plant Pathology, ICAR-IARI, New Delhi 110012.
- AGE: The upper age limit is 35 years for JRF. Relaxation to SC/ST/OBC/PH/Ex-Serviceman/Women as per the Govt. of India instructions.
- The applicant must submit self-attested copies of certificates and proofs of claims along with application. Applicants must bring with them original documents at the time of interview for verification.
- No objection and experience certificate from the employer in case he/she is in employment should be attached with the application.
- Initially the period of engagement will be for one year, and continuation will depend upon progress reviewed every six months by Principal Investigators.
- Positions are purely time bound, non-regular and on a co-terminus basis with the project. Appointment can be terminated on one month’s notice.
- The selected candidate shall have no legal right to claim regularization by absorption or otherwise against any regular posts or any further contractual engagement on termination of the Project.
- Canvassing in any form will disqualify the candidature. The Director’s decision will be final and binding in all respects.
- Place of posting will be at the Division of Plant Pathology, IARI, New Delhi-12. However, the selected candidate may be asked to work at selected area like Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology, Shibpur, Kolkata.
- Travel may be required for project related work.
