Institute of Life Sciences (ILS), Bhubaneswar, an autonomous institute of the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India invites applications from eligible Indian Nationals for the following project positions.
Principal Investigator: Dr. S.K. Raghav, Scientist-F, ILS, Bhubaneswar
Position: 1. Laboratory Technician for Next Generation Sequencing facility (01 position)
Remuneration: Rs. 22,000/- per month (Consolidated)
Eligibility & Selection: B.Sc. in any branch of Life Science or 3 years diploma in Engineering and technology. Candidates having working experience in molecular biology laboratories or Next Generation Sequencing lab with experience in preparing NGS libraries will be preferred.
Job Specification: Regular upkeep of NGS lab, Preparation of NGS libraries, setting up the NGS runs, performing routine lab orders and taking care of the stocks, Routine lab work.
Position: 2. Laboratory Technician for Immunogenicity Assay platform lab (01 position)
Remuneration: Rs. 22,000/- per month (Consolidated)
Eligibility & Selection: B.Sc. in any branch of Life Science or 3 years diploma
in Engineering and technology. DMLT qualification will be preferred. Candidates having working experience in immunology laboratories and performing flow cytometer and ELISA experiments will be preferred.Job Specification: Regular upkeep of the Immunogenicity lab, performing regular care of the flow cytometer and MSD instrument, doing regular experiments as per optimized protocol, Taking care of routine lab orders and the stocks, preparing reports.
The candidate should be below 28 years in age, as on 27.05.2024. An age relaxation will be given as per GoI rules.

Incomplete applications and applications without the above-mentioned documents will be rejected. The appointment will be for one year or until the end of the project.
No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview. The decision of the Director regarding the selection of candidates will be final and no further correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
