Job Description – Claims Assessor (PA-HEA011132)
We are inviting applications for the role of Claims Assessor. As a Claims Assessor, you will be responsible for assessing claims products to ensure that benefit spend aligns with policies, rules, and contracted agreements related to healthcare providers and policies.
Responsibilities:
- Data entry of personal details, provider information, invoice details, procedure & impairment codes
- Validating information entered by indexers and data entry operators
- Checking and selecting correct pre-authorizations
- Identifying and taking action on duplicate claims
- Reading and responding to alerts related to members and providers
- Referring cases to the calling team for additional information
- Dealing with policy and non-policy messages
- Interpreting and analyzing policy messages using various tools
- Referring cases to other departments after adjudication as needed
- Identifying overcharges, ineligible charges, contract compliance issues, and fraud
Qualifications:
Minimum qualifications:
- Graduate degree
Preferred qualifications:
- B.Sc. in Life Science
- Good knowledge of healthcare and medical terminologies
- Detail-oriented and investigative skills
- Strong interpretation and comprehension abilities
