Junior Sample Accessioning Specialist – Clinical Diagnostics Lab

Seeking a motivated individual with 0-3 years of experience to support our Sample Accessioning department in the Clinical Diagnostics Lab. Responsibilities include assisting in the handling of clinical samples with attention to detail and teamwork.

Responsibilities:

• Sample Handling: Assist in the accessioning process for clinical samples, including sample intake, labeling, and storage while ensuring adherence to established protocols.
• Quality Assurance: Support the implementation of quality control measures to maintain the integrity and traceability of clinical samples.
• Assist in monitoring and addressing any deviations or issues in the accessioning process.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation throughout the sample accessioning process, ensuring completeness and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with team members and cross-functional departments to facilitate seamless communication and sample flow within the laboratory.
• Training: Participate in training programs to enhance understanding of best practices and regulatory requirements in sample accessioning.
• Process Improvement: Contribute ideas and suggestions for optimizing sample accessioning workflows to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant scientific field (e.g., molecular biology, genetics, genomics, biology, biochemistry, or related discipline).
• 0-3 years of experience in a laboratory setting, preferably in clinical diagnostics or a related field.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in laboratory work.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Basic knowledge of laboratory information management systems (LIMS) is a plus.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to a fast-paced research environment.
