Hiring For Biotecnika Client – Cymbiotics Biopharma Pvt Ltd is a research and development-based pharmaceutical company located in Bangalore, India. It is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Cymbiotics Inc., USA.
Cymbiotics focuses on designing, developing, validating, and manufacturing novel formulations for various therapeutic applications, including:
- Dermatology
- Cosmetology
- Inflammatory diseases
Post Name: Purchase Manager
Minimum Educational Qualification: Should be a Graduate in Science or Pharmacy (BSc/BPharm.)
Work Location: Bangalore
Work Responsibilities and Activities:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying and fostering a relationship with our suppliers and vendors. You will also oversee the implementation of the supply and production strategies.
1. Material Availability in Time as per Required Activity Planned
- Prime responsibility is timely availability of all materials for various activities planned.
- Send updated reports to various stakeholders on the status of materials.
2. RM/PM Planning for Procurement
- Prepare the Material Requirement Plan based on purchase orders.
3. RM/PM Procurement
- Once the Material Requirement Plan is prepared, review it.
- Coordinate with vendors on the latest rates, negotiate based on past purchase rates, volumes, and payment terms.
- Make a procurement plan, raise POs, and share the Expected Date of Receipt (EDR) of each material with the concerned team.
4. RM/PM Movement
- Support by arranging transporters wherever required.
- Track shipments until delivered, arrange transit insurance if needed, negotiate based on past volumes and payment terms.
- Share transport details and EDR of each material with the concerned team.
5. Material Counting, Testing, and Accounting
- Coordinate with the plant for material receipt, accounting, and QC approval.
6. Reporting Shortages/Rejections of Material Receipts
- Coordinate with the plant for reports of shortages or rejections and submit reports to the vendor.
- Follow up until the financial transaction is complete.
7. RM/PM Vendor Assessment Report
- Prepare a vendor assessment report along with the plant on a periodic basis.
- Share details in case changes or improvements are required in vendor efficiency.
8. Managing Inventory of Slow- and Non-moving Material
- Study stock reports received from the plant and keep track of nonmoving, discontinued, or expiring materials.
- Suggest alternate uses to reduce financial implications and keep the management team informed in advance.
9. Payments/Receipts to/from Vendors
- Check reports from accounts on vendor payments, transport/insurance payments, and receipt of payments for faulty materials.
- Escalate issues wherever deemed necessary.
10. Managing Material Requirements for R&D Department, AMCs, and Other Procurements for Cymbiotics HO
- Coordinate with various Cymbiotics HO departments for their material, spares, and AMC requirements.
- Negotiate for the best rates or free-of-charge options, procure the necessary items, and maintain records.
11. Tracking RM/PM Vendors on Their Latest Developments
- Keep regular contact with vendors (existing and new) for updates on their product portfolio.
- Call for all product specifications and inform the concerned department head.
12. Reports
- Submit timely reports to various departments as per agreed protocols.
13. SOPs—Material Procurement and Handling
- Review SOPs for all job responsibilities, prepare new or improve existing ones as needed, and share with management.
- Update SOPs periodically with the help of QA on formats.
Desired Profile:
- Should be a Graduate in Science or Pharmacy (BSc/BPharm.)
- We make products for the Personal care and Pharmaceutical Industries, such as creams, lotions, Gels, etc. Hence, we would prefer candidates with prior experience of at least 2 years in this or a similar field.
- Should be prolific in written and spoken English.
- This post is Bangalore-based. The office is currently at Bommasandra Industrial Estate, but the majority of suppliers are in Mumbai, and the manufacturing location is in North India. The Candidate should be able to communicate effectively with these partners in English and Hindi.
- All evolving procurement-related activities will be assigned to this position.
