Core Purpose of the Role
You will be part of a dedicated multi-disciplinary drug discovery and development center set up for a leading global pharmaceutical company. This center allows high-performing employees to make an impact and contribute to the growth of the collaboration between Syngene and the client. You will work alongside experienced professionals in contributing towards the generation of primary data and curating accurate and insightful information in exciting and fast-paced areas of antibody discovery and engineering.
Role Accountabilities
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Design and execute molecular cloning strategies for genes of interest with minimal guidance.
- Design primers for different cloning strategies such as infusion, restriction digestion, and site-directed mutagenesis (SDM).
- Analyze sequences using sequence analysis applications like Sequencher and Geneious.
- Conduct functional and biophysical characterization using biochemical techniques like ELISA and Octet.
- Perform cell sorting using flow cytometry.
- Conduct cell line analysis using FACS techniques.
- Make detailed observations, analyze data, interpret results, and exercise appropriate technical discretion in the design and execution of experiments.
- Maintain expertise in each protocol for compliance, standard operating procedures, and applicable guidelines and regulations.
- Present results with interpretation in internal meetings.
Experience and Skills
The ideal candidate should have a master’s degree in life sciences (or related field) with 2-3 years of experience in antibody discovery and development, along with the following skill set:
- Ability to address challenging technical problems independently and creatively.
- Experience in display technology (phage/yeast) is an added advantage.
- Strong background and experience in molecular biology techniques such as cloning, primer design, and site-directed mutagenesis (SDM).
