Interview for the Post of Project Research Scientist I
Position: Applications are invited for the post of Project Research Scientist I (non-medical) under the supervision of Dr. Anshika Srivastava PI, Assistant Professor, Department of Medical Genetics, SGPGIMS. The project is titled “Genome-wide Association Study on Early Onset Coronary Artery Disease to Uncover Disease Biology and Drug Repurposing,” funded by ICMR, Govt. of India.
Job Responsibilities: Srivastava lab focuses on understanding the genetic basis and molecular mechanisms of developmental disorders. To study molecular mechanisms, the lab utilizes advanced technologies such as CRISPR/Cas, ATAC sequencing, and epigenetic profiling tools. Cardiomyocytes and human brain organoids serve as models. The project involves generating cardiomyocytes from patient fibroblasts and performing molecular biology and biochemical assays on the generated models. Design, validate, document, and troubleshoot laboratory experiments. Analyze and interpret data using appropriate statistical methods.

Salary: Rs. 56,000 + 18% HRA = Rs 66,080 per month (Fixed)
Upper Age Limit:
Essential Qualification: M.Sc. with at least three years of research experience or a Ph.D. in stem cell biology, biochemistry, cell biology, or molecular biology.
Desirable Qualifications: Expertise in molecular biology and cell biology. Prior experience in stem cell culture and differentiation of lineages from hPSCs is desirable.
