Applications are invited from Indian nationals for the post of Senior Research Fellow under the following research project funded by the MHRD Project.

Name of the Post: Senior Research Fellow, Department of Biological Sciences
Salary: Rs.35000 /- per month. HRA @ 16% shall be permissible in case of non-availability of hostel accommodation.
Duration: One year (extendable up to two years, subject to satisfactory performance and availability of funds)
Essential Qualification: Applicants should have an M.Sc. in Life Sciences or related subjects with minimum two years of research experience in epigenetics/RNA biology/Cancer biology/NGS data analysis or related fields. The candidate should also meet either of the two following conditions;
- Qualified National Eligibility Test – UGC NET /CSIR/NBHM etc. including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) Or 2) Selected through a National level examination conducted by MHRD or its agencies /Institutions such as UGC/IIT/IISc./IISER/IIIT etc.
Desirable experience: Prior experience with cancer research and molecular biology techniques. Candidates with experience in the analysis of next-generation sequencing data/R programming for statistical computing/RNA work/chromatin biology are encouraged to apply. All applicants should have good communication skills and be proficient in spoken and written English.
Age: Maximum age is 30 years for general candidates at the time of application (to be relaxed by 5 years for SC and ST candidates and persons with physical disability)

Based on the number of applications, additional criteria for screening such as desirable experience may be applied. No TA/DA will be paid to the candidate for appearing in the interview. The selected candidate will be notified by e-mail and expected to join immediately.
