M.Sc. Biotechnology
- Admission based on GAT-B score. Remaining seats may be filled through IIT-JAM and CUET (PG) examination scores.
Key Features:
- Seats: A total of 100 seats are offered every year in M.Sc. Biotechnology.
- Specializations: Five programs for specialization (Animal Biotechnology, Environmental Biotechnology, Industrial Biotechnology, Medical Biotechnology, and Plant Biotechnology).
- Research Funding: Every year, 25 M.Sc. students will be funded by DST, Govt. of Gujarat for 3-month research visits to the University of Edinburgh, U.K.
- Eminent Faculty: Faculty members with national and international experience will mentor the students.
- Monthly Stipend: Rs. 10,000/- will be given to all students, including Rs. 5,000/- towards hostel accommodation.
- Guest Lectures: Teaching and training by visiting faculty from the University of Edinburgh.
- Emphasis: Major emphasis on the translational and entrepreneurial scope of Biotechnology.
- Research Opportunities: 25 M.Sc. students each year will carry out fully funded research at the University of Edinburgh.
