WALK- IN INTERVIEW

Walk-in-interview will be held at Division of Entomology, ICAR-IARI, New Delhi to recruit Junior Research Fellow (1) and Field worker (1) in DST-SERB funded project as follows:

Name of the Project: Systematic studies on micromoth subfamily Olethreutinae (Lepidoptera: Tortricidae) from India

Emoluments (fixed): Rs. 31,000/month + HRA 24% for first two years and Rs. 35,000/month + HRA 24% from third year onwards

Essential/Desirable Qualification: 

Essential qualification: Master’s degree in Agricultural Entomology/ Zoology/ Biotechnology /Life Sciences
a. Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Tests – CSIRUGC NET as DST guidelines.
b. The selection process through National level examinations conducted by central government departments and their agencies and institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISC, IISER etc.

Desirable: Candidates with research experience in taxonomy of insects/molecular tools. The project includes survey of insects and candidate should be ready to travel different parts of the country. (As per DST office memorandum (O.M.) No. SR/S9/Z08/2018 dated 30.01.2019)

Terms and Conditions:

1. Age limit: For JRF, the age should be maximum 35 years for male and 40 years for female and age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC is applicable as per Govt. of India/lCAR rules. Upper age limit is 50 years for the Field worker post. (SERB No. SB/S9/Z-07/2020 dated 25 August 2020)
2. Applicants with minimum eligibility alone need to send application/appear for interview.
3. The applicant must submit attested copies of certificates along with application and a brief of research.
4. No objection certificate from the employer, in case he/she has an employment.
5. Canvassing in any form will disqualify the candidate.
6. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
7. The above posts are purely temporary and will be filled on contractual basis for an initial period of one year or project duration whichever is earlier, which may be extended on yearly basis after satisfactory performance of the incumbent till termination of the scheme. There is no provision of re-engagement after termination of scheme. Selected candidate shall not claim for regular appointment at this institute as the fellowship is co-terminus with respective scheme.
8. The selected candidate shall have to undergo medical examination.
9. The decision of the Competent Authority will be final and binding in all respects.
10. All eligible candidates are requested to be present 30 minutes before schedule time on the date of interview for necessary formalities.

Walk-in Interview on 15.04.2024 at 10.00 AM at Committee Room, Division of Entomology, ICAR-IARI, New Delhi-12.

Eligible candidates may come for the walk-in-interview with two copies of their bio-data in prescribed format (Annexure-I) and one set of attested copies of their certificates/mark sheets/experience proof.
