POSITION FOR ONE POST OF PROJECT ASSISTANT

Applications are invited by the undersigned from eligible candidates for ONE post of Project Assistant (PA), in the following research project sponsored by Central Silk Board, Government of India, at this institute.

Title of the project: (Project Code: SPP09004MNC): Studies on virulence status of different microsporidian species in silkworm (Bombyx mori L)”.

Tenure of the project: January 2024 earlier. December 2026 or completion of project whichever is

Essential Qualifications: Full-time B.Sc. in relevant subjects [equivalent to 60% marks (55% for SC/ST candidates)] B. Sc in Sericulture/ Zoology Microbiology/Biochemistry/ Biotechnology/ Life Science.

Desirable qualifications: Knowledge in the extraction and characterization of silkworm pathogens, as well as experience in handling microbes.

Emoluments: full-time B. Sc or above Rs. 15,000/ per month (consolidate).

Nature of work: Collection of Microsporidia samples from various fields and purification. Inoculation of pathogens for bioassays.

6. No TA/DA will be provided to attend the interview.
7. The above-mentioned position is purely temporary on contractual basis and co-terminus with the project. Further claim for any post will not be entertained thereafter.
