Head of Sample Accessioning Clinical Diagnostics Lab
We are seeking a detail-oriented professional to join our team as the Head of Sample Accessioning in Clinical Diagnostics. The successful candidate will lead the Sample Accessioning department, overseeing the efficient and accurate handling of clinical samples for diagnostic testing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership: Provide strategic direction to the Sample Accessioning department. Supervise and mentor staff to foster a collaborative work environment.
- Sample Handling: Oversee the accessioning process for clinical samples, ensuring accuracy and compliance with protocols.
- Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to ensure sample integrity. Monitor and address deviations in the accessioning process.
- Team Collaboration: Liaise with cross-functional teams to facilitate communication and sample flow.
- Training and Development: Develop training programs to ensure adherence to best practices and regulations. Stay informed about advancements in sample accessioning technologies.
Qualifications:
- PhD or Master’s degree in molecular biology, genetics, genomics, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in sample accessioning within a clinical diagnostics
laboratory. - Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to manage and develop a team.
- Thorough understanding of laboratory information management systems (LIMS).
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance standards.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective time management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
