We invite applications for the position of Junior Research Fellow in the
Department of Biological Sciences at BITS Pilani, K K Birla Goa Campus, Goa to help with an ICMR sponsored research project.
Position: Junior Research Fellow
Project Title: “Pathophysiological investigations of sickle cell disease and interventions to improve associated hemorheological abnormalities.”
Principal Investigator: Prof. Suman Kundu
Co-Investigators: Dr. Rabindra K Jena (SCB Medical College and Hospital, Cuttack, Odisha) and Dr. Raviprasad Aduri (BITS Goa)
Project Duration: Initially 1 year (3 years, subject to performance-based extension)
Fellowship Amount: 31000 pm (through Industry / Investigator resources)
Qualification:
M.Sc. degree in Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/ Life Sciences (relevant disciplines) or M.Tech/M.E.(Biotechnology) or M.Pharm/B.Pharm (4 years) graduates from reputed University/Institute. It is desirable that the candidate is selected through a process described through any one of the following:
- Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Tests CSIR–UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and GATE.
- The Selection process through National level examinations conducted by central Government departments and their agencies such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, etc.
- Based on performance in an interview conducted by an expert panel or supported by industry. Prior exposure to chemical/ biochemical/ pharmacological techniques/ mass spectrometry or clinical research will be an advantage.
