Ph.D. opportunities in my Laboratory at Gujarat Biotechnology University (India’s 1st Biotech University)
My laboratory [Geomicrobiology, Ecogenomics and Metabolic Engineering (GEMe)](https://lnkd.in/dBWF-Ju6)] at Gujarat Biotechnology University (GBU), GIFT City, Gandhinagar is looking for a motivated M.S/M.Sc student to pursue Ph.D.
Students having their own/individual fellowship (CSIR/DBT-JRF/other valid national examinations) with appropriate backgrounds from the following fields but not limited to:
a) Environmental microbiology, b) Microbial Genomics-Metagenomics, c) Biogeochemistry, d) Bioremediation, e) Metabolic Engineering, f) Microbial systematics, g) Pollutant/Metal-Microbe interactions are encouraged to write to me and apply to this multidisciplinary opportunity.
Interested candidates should have a fundamental understanding and experience in various environmental/earthly processes, tools and techniques of microbiology and molecular biology and willing to conduct both lab and field-based research. Candidates having experience in Linux and command lines can be preferred (but not mandatory/essential).
