Microbiologist in the Naturex division at Givaudan – Your future position?
In this role – As a Microbiologist, you will be responsible to carry out microbiological analysis of raw materials, finished products and work in progress material in the in house microbiology laboratory at our plant based in Roha.
Your Responsibilities:
- Carry out microbiological analysis of raw materials, finished products, and work in progress materials in the in house microbiology laboratory as per microbiology ISO standards.
- Collect water, hygiene, and environmental samples, and conduct microbiological survey on them.
- Maintain the hygiene level standard of the microbiology laboratory, and conduct microbiology laboratory environmental monitoring regularly.
- Maintain the safety standards of the microbiology laboratory and contribute to eliminate the unsafe conditions in the laboratory.
- Maintain and calibrate the microbiology laboratory equipment at defined intervals.
- Report microbiology analysis results on time for product release.
- Carry out root cause analysis and take appropriate action in case of microbial contamination in the laboratory and in processing areas.
- Document the microbiology analysis and environmental monitoring results.
- Update the microbiology method of analysis when required.
- Update the environmental monitoring, food safety audit, inspections procedures when required.
- Train the site employees on the food safety topics and microbiological controls.
- Coordinate with the internal auditor team, and conduct food safety monthly inspections and food safety internal audits.
- Carry out chemical analysis of the products in the absence of the chemist.
Your Qualifications:
- Masters in Microbiology.
- Good communication skills and fluency in the local language.
- 3-5 years of experience in the food industry.
- Knowledge of ERP, computer systems, data entry skills required.
