Advertisement for JRF Position in CSIR Funded Project
Applications are invited from interested and motivated candidates for the post of Junior Research fellow (JRF) in a time bound research project for a temporary period, purely on contractual basis as per the following details.
Position: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
Number of Vacancy: One (01)
Project Title: Role of B-Box Proteins in DNA Repair and Genotoxicity Tolerance in Plants Exposed to High UV-B
Department: Department of Biological Sciences, IISER Bhopal
Tenure: Six months initially; extension subject to continuation of project and availability of funds
Job Description: The selected candidate will be responsible for conducting research and development tasks related to the project mentioned above. The work will involve molecular biology, Arabidopsis genetics, and biochemistry, with a focus on protein interaction studies.
Educational Qualification
The candidate must meet the following qualification criteria:
- Master’s degree in any branch of life sciences
- CSIR/UGC-NET/GATE qualification
- Experience working with Arabidopsis and yeast
Age Limit
- JRF – Maximum 28 years
- Age relaxation of up to 5 years for candidates belonging to scheduled castes/tribes/OBC, women, and physically disabled candidates
Fellowship: JRF – Rs. 37,000 per month
